ConWorkShop aims to be a safe community for users to develop and discuss their conlang and other linguistic topics. For this reason, we do not store any personal information that is not actually required to authenticate who you are.
ConWorkShop supports two forms of login authentication. These are: Facebook Login and Standard Login.
Facebook LoginWe recommend logging in with Facebook. Why? A few of the reasons we think this:
- You will not need to remember new login details
- You will not be required to give your e-mail address meaning we cannot misuse your information
- Your password does not need to be stored
- Cookies will not need to be set for this site meaning your login is more secure
- It is easier to keep your details up to date if they come from one source
By logging in with Facebook, you are granting ConWorkShop access to ONLY the following information:
- Your Facebook id
- Your Facebook name (incl. first name, middle name and last name)
- Link to your Facebook profile
- Your Facebook username
- Your gender
- Your timezone
- Your locale
The standard login is available as an option for those who want to use a traditional username/password login using cookies stored on your computer. As we do not recommend this method, when you register using this method, we will ask you to provide a reason you did not want to login using Facebook so that we may improve our service.
