About Lithian
[liдeserna]

Update (2017:02:09) :: Lithian is now on Sahar! (This version of Lithian is known as Lugid, although for practical reasons I will just call it Lithian.)

> Lithian is one of the official languages as well as being the lingua franca of the archipelagic kingdom of Luhangida (on planet Luf), with the other two official languages being Lilian and Teknite. In planet Luf, it is the global lingua franca. It is also the official language of the Lugida (on planet Sahar).

> Grammar-wise, it is a noun declension-scarce language, but is verb conjugation-rich - with 4 levels of agglutinating conjugations (Polarity, Voice, Aspect, Tense), creating a total of 72 possible combinations.

> It is an SVO language, with direct alignment, even in pronouns. "I am I". "I met he". "He met I".

> Copulas are dropped most of the time. To replace the copula (e.g. English "is"), in some cases, a comma is inserted. However, in sentences with more complex structure (like, subject has relative clauses) and in defining sentences (e.g. CWS is a website), copulas are used ("lam").

> The phonology: 32 consonants, 5 vowels, and 8 diphthongs. The unusual parts are the lack of /j/ and the presence of /t͡ɬ/. The latter is a remnant of Classical Maidanic. However, it is slowly being replaced by /tl̩/ (t followed by syllabic l).

> Grammar in a nutshell: This is a language. I am me I. I create-have-past a language for myself I-self and theThe following noun is a proper noun. Don't the the proper noun! Hanagant universe. The script likes squares.

> The conscript? It's called Delvia. It is a fixed-width square alphasyllabary that lacks spacebars. (more info here)

[view] About KitrianA language family that consists of the languages of the Kitrian archipelago, in the now-area of Luhangida. The three major languages (Lithian, Lilian, Teknite) is grouped as the Kitrian Three.

CWSP Note: Ignore the Proto-Teknite branch.
[view] hanufte' se'gra (Hanaluftan)This dialect is spoken in the Luhanese (Luhangida's) city of Hanalufta.
It has some sound changes, particularly in aspirated sounds, in which: /tʰ/ becomes /θ/, /pʰ/ becomes /ɸ/,and /kʰ/ becomes /x/.

This dialect is an (old) experiment on dialectal sound changes.
[view] Lugiserna (Lugid)A form of Lithian spoken in Lugida, Sahar. It has an almost similar vocabulary and grammar, although some of it are influenced by its mainland neighbors.

(mostly used for lexical classification)
[view] Veita Litheserna (Veita)A variant of Lithian, for poets, by the poets, with more complexity and it's less English-y, with pretty much Lithian-y vocabulary. But, more complexity means less understandability, so Veita remained within the literature world, where it (kind-of) flourished. It is a conlang of a conlang.

This is an (old) experiment on the freedom of word orders.
