About Lithian
[liдeserna]

Update (2017:01:15) :: Language family update.

Lithian is the official and majority language of the archipelagic kingdom of Luhangida and one of the lingua francas of conplanet Luf. Its native name, Litheserna, translates to "divine language". The language itself is introduced by Lithia, the highest deity of the Lithian universe (Hanagant) and its Delians (High Lithian deities, represented as a part of Lithia) through the messenger/prophet Miranda, while the language retains some of the older languages' grammatical features.

Lithian is a language with an a priori vocabulary and a slightly a posteriori grammar (between English and Indonesian), but is categorised as an Artlang due to its less naturalistic nature and its emphasis on the words' A E S T H E T I C S. One tricky part is that there are about 72 (!) tenses in Lithian, which is built agglutinatively, such as NEGNegative (polarity)
not
-verb-PASSPassive voice (valency)
be verb-ed
-PERFPerfect (aspect/tense)
have verb-ed
-FUTFuture (tense)
action occurring after the moment of speech
.CONDConditional (mood)
'if'
, like in dolastegerirnonei "would not have been be invaded". Despite of this, these sorts of affixation are incredibly rare.

Lithian has a conscript, called Delvia. The script itself is introduced along with Lithian. It is a fixed-width alphasyllabary with no spacebars (although there is a word breaker mark, a feature not present in this font) and with all vowels being diacritics. A detailed explanation of Delvia can be found here.

[view] About KitrianA language family that consists of the languages of the Kitrian archipelago, in the now-area of Luhangida.
[view] hanufte' se'gra (Hanaluftan)This dialect is spoken in the Luhanese (Luhangida's) city of Hanalufta.
It has some sound changes, particularly in aspirated sounds, in which: /tʰ/ becomes /θ/, /pʰ/ becomes /ɸ/,and /kʰ/ becomes /x/.
This dialect's vocabulary is highly Lithian-ish, however the words were highly simplified to the point that it breaks standard Lithian phonotactics.
[view] Veita Litheserna (Veita)A variant of Lithian, for poets, by the poets, with more complexity and it's less English-y, with pretty much Lithian-y vocabulary. But, more complexity means less understandability, so Veita remained within the literature world, where it flourished. It is a conlang of a conlang.
