About High Fei
malu

The Fei Common Tongue, shortened to just Fei, is the lingua franca of the Marlasian Jungle, being spoken by the Fei themselves, as well as the Drakyn, some humans, and a few giant tribes. Outside of the jungle it is much rarer, with Feirie, or Malla, being the predominant language. Like most Marlasian languages, it is a descendant of the ancient Feiri language given to the first Fei by the Masters.

Fei is a typical example of Fei phonology, featuring:
- a complex, plosive-less phonology,
- verbs that mark aspect and mood,
- a syntax that follows the Mirror System (see article),
- no adpositions, instead various position marking copulas,

Fei is atypical for also having:
- gender in first and second person,
- formality in the second person,
